Nabucco, Verdi's "Jewish" opera in a special production - with the mountain of Masada as a natural towering backdrop, with special lighting and sound effects - will be conducted by Daniel Oren and performed by international opera singers, the Israeli Opera Chorus and the Opera Orchestra - The Israel Symphony Orchestra Rishon LeZion.

Nabucco is an opera in four acts by Giuseppe Verdi to an Italian libretto by Temistocle Solera, based on the biblical story and the play by Anicet-Bourgeois and Francis Cornu. It was Verdi’s third opera and it is considered to have permanently established his reputation as a composer. Nabucco follows the plight of the Jews as they are assaulted and subsequently exiled from their homeland by the Babylonian King Nabucco. Its first performance took place on March 9, 1842 at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan.
